GitHub — where Vesk is built.

Source, issues, RFCs, and good first issue tags. We treat docs as code — every diagnostic has a page, every page is verified against source.

Why GitHub over Discord-only?

Next/SvelteKit Discord is fast but ephemeral. Vesk keeps decisions on GitHub — RFCs, ADRs, and compiler diagnostics are versioned and searchable. Discord is for chat.

Compare: Next.js 2k+ open issues triaged by bot; Vesk 40 open, human-labeled by area (compiler/runtime/native).

How we work

  • RFC → TODO.md — every feature starts as a living TODO entry, not a tweet.
  • Diagnostics first — error codes (V0xxx) with suggested fixes before merge.
  • Verified docs — each page checked against packages/*/src .

Good first issues — try the compiler

No Rust, no WASM — pure TypeScript. packages/compiler/src/ir.ts and client-codegen.ts are approachable. Start with a good first issue and run npx tsx packages/cli/src/build-packages.ts after edits.
